2, 3, 5, 6, 9:     9 (greatest) - 2 (smallest) = 7      Range= 7

 

Mean: add all your addends, then divide by the number of addends.

    2, 3, 5, 6, 9:     2+3+5+6+9= 25    --->  25/5 = 5  5 is the mean
 

Median:  the middle number is a set of data.  Be sure and put you data in
                    numerical order (1,2,3 order).

Mode:  the most often number in a set of data.

    2, 3, 5, 6, 9:  in this set of data there is no mode

    2,3,5,6,6,8,9  in thes set of data  "6" is the mode
