Registration & Policies

Registration should be made at least 10 days in advance of the class. Exceptions will be made when there are still openings.

Payment must be made at lease 2 business days in advance of the class. Instructors cannot accept payment – payment must be made to the Community Education office at 24 W. Lexington Ave., Suite 220, Winchester, KY, 40391.

Additional fees or materials needed: There may be fees for materials or supplies may need to be purchased, particularly for art classes. Call 745-3946 for more information.

Refund policy: If you have an emergency and call to cancel before the first class, your class fee will be refunded to you. No refunds will be made unless cancellation by student is prior to the first class – by 3:30 p.m., for evening classes.

If students cancel due to family emergency or dissatisfaction with the class content or instructor after the first class and before the second class, at the Director’s discretion a credit of the class fee minus one lesson plus a $10 processing fee may be given. The credit will be good toward any other Community Education class within one year from date of issue.

No refunds or credits of any kind will be given after the second class.

If the class is cancelled due to low enrollment, class fees will be refunded.

Inclement weather policy: If public schools in Clark County are closed, there will be no Community Education classes that day. If Community Education classes are postponed due to bad weather evenings or weekends, every effort will be made to contact all registered students.

Age policy: Classes are for age 18 and over. Some classes may be appropriate for age 12 and up. Students ages 8 through 17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
